Assalamualaikum..
I'm on MC today. Had a terrible migraine the whole day. Probably due to exposure to prolong heat in Ipoh the last weekend. I'm counting my blessings that there are someplace that is hotter than my home.
Anyway, I went to Ipoh for my cousin's on my mother' side nikah and wedding reception on the bride's side on the weekend of the Chinese New Year holidays. A very simple wedding...simple as in no hantaran, no exchanging gifts and no bersanding only the mas kahwin. Mind you the bride is a Dato's daughter. There is a dais though but only for photography.
On the way back, we (me and my family) depart from Ipoh around 3.30 pm and what a TRAFFIC JAM!!! we endured. At last we experience the notorious traffic jam from Ipoh to Slim River that PLUS highway is famous for during the Chinese New Year. At one point the right lane came to a stand still. Very unheard-off 5 years back. We even travel 20km distance in 1 hour.
We finally reach home at 8.30pm at night. 5 hours drive from Ipoh to Klang, add another 1/2 hour and we can reach Mersing, Johor already.
