Little Nephew

Monday, 18 December 2006
My 2nd nephew was born on 11th December 2006. He was small in stature, weighs about 3.4kg and born on 7.58pm. He seems long to me..Marwan was certainly chubbier than this little baby. Any way the father and mother decided to name him Thoriq Zayyaad. The spelling isn't firm yet. But the pronounciation is there. Partly they name him after Thariq bin Ziyad, the sahabah who opened Spain and partly because the name also meant 'Cahaya Bintang Subuh yang bertambah-tambah'..err..is this the correct meaning aa?

Weddings Galore

Assalamualaikum...

Last weekend had been a busy one seeing me attending to 2 weddings happening at the same time. The 'akad nikah' and wedding reception of my immediate neighbour, Nur Nuha, and my cousin, Kak Ana, happened on the same day - Saturday and Sunday. It was fun attending the 2 weddings. I was bit tired because I was shuttling from one end on Klang to the other. Mind you, it was'nt that far anyway. Except that it was a hot day..I was beginning to get a migraine...here are the pictures of the 2 newly weds. For further picture please visit my Fotopages.

Not Tense Anymore

Sunday, 17 December 2006
Assalamualaikum..

I'm not tense anymore. Somehow I manage to solve the networking problem. Prior to that I had to repair the broadband connection first. It took a while for it to resolve. After that I tackle the networking problem. Even though the sent was high and the recive low, I just left it be..too tired to repair again. Next, I did the same thing for the laptop downstairs..with the same result.
Anyway..since the broadband is ok, I just surf the net while at the same time trying to figure out what's wrong the network. But lo and behold..30 minutes later, the networking was working fine..And by net morning, the my laptop downstair was also receiving the net thru' the network.

Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....Good feeling it is when you manage to solve problems.
Mind you..I'm not trained or taught in this computer things..Just learnt from my brother. I guess when you're train in technical things (architecture that is...) you seem to get the hang of things easily...

TENSION!!!!

Wednesday, 13 December 2006
Aduhhhh!!!!! Tensionnya....!!!! Apasal la network ni tak nak betul2 jugak. Dah berapa kali dah configure TCP/IP ni..Default gateway dah tukar banyak kali..IP address pun dah set berapa kali ntah..

Strong Person

Friday, 24 November 2006
I have been and will be a strong person...
Physically I am not...
But emotionally I am...
I can always overcome my emotional problems...
Unless if depression sets in...
For those who never had any depression, you don't understand...
The constance sadness that you felt without any reason, the constance thoughts of something bad happening to your family..
The time spent on starring into space...
The countless sleepless nights...
The countless silent tears flowing thru the night...
I couldn't get out of it at first, but then I knew there was something wrong with me and I had to get help..
Eventually I did.
Finally I manage to get me a job which occupied my time..
And now I am well again.
Those time have taught me to become stronger...
Now I believe, what will be will be..it is call FATE

Crystal Bracelet

Tuesday, 21 November 2006
I just received my custom made Swarozski crystal from my friend Raiyan..
Wow!!!! So glittery and shiny!!! It was worth every cent of my money..
Oh yes..I also bought one for my mum. Mine is purple tone while my mum is silver.
Well, I guess women is still women. You can't escape from loving beautiful things.
Hmm..wonder if I can buy another colour and design next month? Have to see my budget first..

Bad day...

I just feel terrible this morning...
Last night something strange happened. I had just finished washing the dishes and then had my dinner. 5 minutes later when I went back into the kitchen, there was a pile of the dishes again in the sink. I was stunned!!! I mean..I coudln't believe what my eyes seeing...I just left the kitchen 5 minutes, and the sink is full again of dishes. I asked my sisters, my brother & my mother if they had put the dishes in the sink, but the denied doing so.
So I just went back to the kitchen and wash the dishes..On closer inspection, I saw that the dishes are clean ones. I was puzzled, because the rack where the I put the clean dishes are not close to the sink, so I've ruled out the dishes falling into the sink. Furthermore, there are some glass mug in the sink too. So if anything falls into the sink, it would've made a ruckus...
Creepy...who did it? I don't know..and I don't want to know...

This morning I just woke up from a very bad dream. I dreamt I was in a forest with friends, there were lots of people too..the forest were some sort of a recreation park. Then I reach a certain spot near a river. Suddenly I saw a cobra of silver-yellowish colour swimming in it. I said to my friend to stop as we don't want to disturb the snake. Suddenly the cobra lunge at me!!! Due to fear, I caught the cobra's head and squeeze it so hard, that the venom came out. I was shouting for help to my friends, but then I woke up..I could still feel the hot venom on my hand as it was real...

In Malay culture, it is said that if you dreamt of being strike by a snake, you're getting married. But in my case I don't believe so. I thought the snake was very angry with me...
I don't know...I hadn't had a good night sleep in a while and my body aches...

Yuckssss

Assalamualaikum...

Few days ago I saw a TV commercial or singing if you might call it, regarding clean toilets. I don't know about you but I do feel it was quite pathetic to produce a song about toilets. It reflects back the mentality of us, the citizen of Malaysia. But in truth some of us DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A TOILET. They don't know how to use the flush, clog the toilet with rubbish and sanitary pads, don't even know how to clean up after using it for that matter.
I don't like going to public toilets as it stinks, it's horrible and it's yucky..But now I've seen some better toilets but at a price. You want clean and un-smelly toilets? Go pay RM2 and you'll have a toilet with a butler to boot. Heck, we don't have to pay if only we know how to keep the toilet clean and not smelly.
I guess the majority of Malaysian are not brought up to clean their toilets at home. I would've have guess it'll be the mother or the maid doing regular cleaning of all the toilets at home. Me? I CLEAN MY OWN TOILET. So guys...go clean your own toilets, then you'll learn how to treat the public toilets like your own and don't have to pay a cent for it.

Cobwebs

Monday, 13 November 2006
Assalamualaikum...

Ya Allah!!! I'm gathering cobwebs at my blog nowadays. I'm so busy that I hardly even have time doing this thing. It's been what? 3 month?...Anyway..there's nothing much to tell...unlike Dr. El who has many wonderful stories to tell. I guess when your work environment revolves around people, you have many stories to tell...But me? Hmm...I can't tell much. Wondering if the layman understands any of the stories I'm telling anyway...It involves the building industry..So I guess only the engineers, the quantity surveyors, the architects and landscaper understand what I'm implying...other than that you may consider it a duck and hen talking to each other.
It's not that I'm saying I can't explain the beauty of architecture to the layman, it's sometimes the layman doesn't appreciate beauty in whatever form it is...

Anyway, I can only make people appreciate the detail and beauty thru photos. As they say...
A picture tells a 1000 words

It's A Small World

Friday, 25 August 2006
Assalamualaikum...

It's a small world after all..why?
Because the M&E engineer is my father's friend. His son is my brother's friend. My draughtman's aunt lives near my house and I always buy nasi lemak from her. My boss's sister is my Muallim's (teacher) wife. And my Muallim always comes to ther office because he and his wife is managing the food sector of this company group. The client's architect is my senior in UiTM.

So in all, I believe it is a small world after all..especially those involve in the building industry. You tend to meet the same people wherever you go. So my advice is, do not ill speak or offend others. Because what goes around comes around.

Girls Day Out

Thursday, 27 July 2006
Assalamualaikum...
Wow..guest it's been too long i've updated my blog. Well the same cannot be said about my real life though. Hmm..let see..what have i been doing this last few days..
Well i've been out with the girls...we went to Masjid Jalan Duta to sign the petition againts Lina Joy case. It was informative as to why we should defend Islam. We brought back a few pamphlets to be photocopied and issued out.
We had a lot of discussion about this matter. I guess when you are still single you tend to think about the world more. You tend to be concerened about the state of the country.
After that we went to lunch in TTDI Jaya where we had a 'kampung' lunch. Being very much the city lass that I am, I don't each much..because there's a lot of veggies and ulam. hehehe..well the other 2 ate to their heart content.

To Bash, Faizah and Anis, thanks for the company...hope we can gather around again sometimes. Can ask Asma to come along if she's free... To the others..sorry, this is singles only outing. :P

Life Plan

Friday, 14 July 2006
Assalamualaikum

Salam sejahtera...hmmm..It's been 2 weeks now I'm working in my new office which is in Plaza Masalam Section 9 Shah Alam. Good thing about my new company is that I have a lot of opportunities to expand my career in the field of architecture. Contrary to my previous office, my new office do take into consideration my views in shaping the future of the company. Thus instill my love for this company. I feel as if this company is my own. When you have the love for the office you're working for, you'll tend to like your job very much and do not mind sacrificing time. Which in this case very much true. Being in an Islamic environment makes it even better. The whole purpose of work does not limit to worldly matters but also the Day after.
I've never been much of a workaholic. I like to rest a lot if I'm entitle to it. But I think that will change from now. I may turn into a workaholic!!!!....Scary thoughts...heheheh...But then again I don't mind since I'm not married and don't have a 'family' to return to anyway...well, except for may parents of course..(I still live with them)..
I am, if you want to know in charge of my subordinates which include a designer, a draughtman and 2 trainees. Which means that I am the head of the design department while my boss is the manager. I am responsible in monitoring everybody's work progress so as not to deviate from plan. A huge contrast from my position in the previous office which I am merely a worker bee....I hear and I obey...Now I'm more of a leader than a doer. So I have to read a lot on management matters. Who says managing people is easy? Humans are the difficult commodities to manage.

Well, that's about it then...gotta work tomorrow...

Salam

Long Time

Sunday, 4 June 2006

Salam...
Wah!!! Long time haven't been in here. Hmm..at least 3-4 months. Too lazy to put up any posts? Probably or just too busy...with work. Anyway, I had a great day on Thursday 1/6/2006. My degree convocation :) hehehe...all the while before I obtained my degree, I only dreamt of it. But that's what people say...dream will come true if you dream of it always...Guess I've always dream of being an architect. Now I'm only one step closer to being a professional architect. Well that will have to wait a few years later.

Anyway..I've missed writing here. Pouring out my thoughts and feelings. All the while they've been in my head but I hadn't had the time to write it up here. Life will change for the better beginning next month. But to change for the better, something had to be sacrificed. In my case, it's not a small one. Thanks to my family for being there for me and for being understanding. A big thank you too for helping me out. That's what family is for. To love and to cherish. To my UiTM friends sorry for not being there when you guys had that convo photo shoot. Guess I was lost that day looking for you guys. Anyway, hope we can organize a reunion again now that few of you are getting married or just married.

So that's all for now...nothing new from me. Just jotting down my feelings. No thoughts just yet only headaches...see yaa

Salam....

Soal Jodoh

Friday, 3 February 2006
Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Hmmm...apa nak cakap ye? Nak luahkan perasaan sikit pasal soal jodoh ni.
Umur aku dah nak masuk 27 tahun ni tapi tak kawin2.
Until then tiada apa yg aku boleh buat.

Sekadar luahan rasa yg mudah terasa....

HELLO

Sunday, 1 January 2006
Assalamualaikum...
Hmmm..today is the first day in 2006. Nothing much to say. Just to post something that a friend of mine from Kurdistan, Iran gave me. Hope that all our resolution this year will come true.

HELLO

A golden new year has arrived,
and anything is possible.
It can be a time of success,
a time of achievement,
a time of happiness
a time when dreams come true.
What the year becomes
is up to you.
All you have to do,
is steer your ship
toward your goal,
and hold true to
what's in your heart
even come the stormy weather.
And should worry and self-doubt
rattle your sails and darken the day
simply let a gentle wind
carry your troubles away.
Above all, no matter where
the year leads you,
no matter what you do,
never stop believing you can succeed,
never stop believing in you.
