Assalamualaikum..
Last week on 5th April 2008 (Saturday) I went to the annual KL International Book Fair held at PWTC. That was the 2nd day the fair is held. It will be on until 13th April 2008.
I went in the afternoon. I drove there with my brother. My other siblings went earlier in the morning. By the time we reach there, there was a lot of people. I guess it coincide with schools break on the 1st week of the month. It was hard to move actually. I had to push & shove just to walk so I didn't have the chance to browse for interesting books at every booth. But I did went to my favourite booth, Penguin, where I bought 2 novels. The rest I just bought magazines, diet book & cook book (as a motivation for me to cook) and I also bought for my brother Arabic-Malay-English dictionary (Akak sumbang untuk Haidar belajar kat Mesir tu..hehehe)
Total spend on that day alone amount to RM 300. Oh yeah..Clive Cussler is one of my favorite adventure author. Been collecting his books for a few years now and trying to complete the collection. Mostly I buy second hand from Payless Book. This year I didn't buy any of Mary Higgins Clark or Patricia Cornwell because I have all their novels now. Maybe I should try collecting James Patterson, been borrowing from my friend. The Alex Cross series is good.
I'm planning to go again, as I've missed buying a few books. I just applied for 1/2 day leave on Thursday to go there again with my sister & her sons. Hope it's not too crowded. And to not miss again on books that I want to buy, I have made the list...
- Surat Untuk Nuha
- Aku Terima Nikahnya
- Zahrah De Tigris
- Salju Sakinah
- Wang, Anda & Islam
- Formula Solat Sempurna
